About the Brocks

The Brock Family, including their 4 sons (Joseph, Stephen, John & Samuel: ages 16 to 24), are a family of musicians. The Brocks began their musical prayer journey as a family in 2004 when they left their jobs and home to become musicianaries. The Brock family frequently tour over seas, training in worship & music at HOPs in Turkey, Israel, Greece, Europe, Malta & Cyprus. They also give family concerts while teaching music in both secular & sacred settings.

Tim & Melody started a music school in Kansas City in 2005, using the Suzuki method to teach violin and flute, they also trained teens and children to improvise as a form of prayer. In 2009 they moved to the Charlotte NC area (MorningStar Ministries), where they helped pioneer a new Suzuki Music Co-op in Fort Mill SC after directing their 1st Suzuki & Worship Music Camp (SWMC) in the summer of 2015. They currently reside in KC where they direct a Suzuki School of Music & Worship, teaching children & youth guitar & violin while helping to facilitate a soaking prayer community of artisans & musicians.

Tim and Melody have a passion for raising up young prophetic musicians, having taught guitar, violin & flute at the International House of Prayer Forerunner Music Academy (KC) for 4 years. They are both certified Suzuki teachers (along with their two older sons) with over 30 years of combined teaching experience. Melody graduated from Cincinnati College-Conservatory and The Juilliard School before holding a position with the Florida Orchestra for 7 years. Tim graduated from Pratt Institute with a Masters in Art & Design (Brooklyn NY) and a B.A. in Music Performance (UCF).

Joshua Samuel, (oldest son) is an accomplished violinist, and keyboard/Synth technologist. He composes acoustic and techno sound-scapes for soaking prayer applications. He enjoys antiphonal instrumental explorations and has a passion to spontaneously combine various styles of music for greater intimacy in worship. Joshua Samuel is currently studying commercial violin performance at Belmont University (Nashville TN) where he is sharpening his craft for musicianary outreach at home and abroad.
